Programme Administrative Officer – Thames Gateway South Essex Leading a Low Carbon Economy Programme

Full time – Maximum 3 year Fixed Term Contract up to 31st December 2012

Location: Based at Groundwork South Essex Offices, Thundersley Essex

Job Aim: To support and assist the Programme Management Team in the delivery of the TGSE Leading a Low Carbon Economy programme on behalf of the partnership. This includes all aspects of operational delivery and compliance required to achieve the Programme’s desired outputs, results and anticipated impact as outlined in the Work Plan

Salary: £19,593 to £20,181

Programme Events Officer – Thames Gateway South Essex Leading a Low Carbon Economy Programme

Full time – Maximum 3 year Fixed Term Contract up to 31st December 2012

Location: Groundwork South Essex Offices, The Green Room, Thundersley, Essex (50%) and Thurrock Council, Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, Essex RM17 6SL(50%)

Job Aim: This post will be split 50:50 between managing events and workshops designed to deliver the Engagement and Awareness component of the TGSE Leading a Low Carbon Economy programme on behalf of the partnership and other key partnership events. The remaining 50% of their time will be spent undertaking similar duties in Thurrock. Whilst the post holder will focus primarily on the Engagement and Awareness phase of the programme they will be required to support, as required, all aspects of operational delivery and compliance required to achieve the Programme’s desired outputs and anticipated impact as outlined in the Work Plan

Work with businesses to support the development of environmental policies and grant funding applications.

Salary: £23,385 to £25,557

The total value of the programme is £6.3 million over 3 calendar years (2010 to 2012). This post will be directly responsible for managing a total grant budget of approximately £122k

Finance Officer (Part-time minimum of 30 hours per month)


Salary: c £22k/annum pro-rata

Groundwork South Essex is a small independent environmental trust and a member of the Federation of Groundwork trusts in the UK. We need a finance professional to support our small team based in South Benfleet.

You will have a formal accounting qualification, be used to working and communicating with non-financial colleagues, guiding them to achieve good practice in their work. Experience of Sage 200 accounting system is an advantage and an understanding of project management accounting.
